A group of us recently visited the autocross at Fed Ex field in DC on March 23rd. The autocross was sponsored by the SCCA, and was practice for SCCA members for their upcoming season. Plus, we knew a couple people running, so we wanted to go out and cheer them on.

It was a windy, cold day. The cars, though, were very hot. It's not every day that you can park between a twin-turbo Toyota Supra, a Porsche 914-6, and an Acura Type R. There were a lot of Miatas racing that day, and as you can see, several other interesting cars. CAR's own Daniel (EvoRoadster) went for his first autocross ever, and turned in some very respectable times, against some stiff competition. He had the biggest grin on his face after his first run, and he'll probably still have the grin the next time you see him.

CAR is planning to do some autocrossing this season, so if you're interested, keep an eye on the calendar, and we'll be sure to help you out. In the meantime, enjoy the photos.
