Club organization details

Postby NicholasJay » February 2nd, 2012, 11:09 am

I admit that the club has been very disorganized as of late, and we apologize. We aim to correct that. What that starts with is a consolidation of information about the club and its running. Personally, I don't know who-has-what and who-does-what, so we need to get that kind of information in one place.

I'm posting this in a entire-club viewable forum because a few of the members that have club artifacts may not have full forum access.

For those people that have these items listed below, can you either reply or PM me? If you have any of these items and want to give them (and their associated responsibility) up, please let me know that as well.

Club Artifacts:

Checkbook
Business cards/stickers/banners
Membership cards
Other club office supplies
PO Box Key
Banners
List of club members
Anything else I missed?

Access:
Forum Hosting
Web page design, etc
Paypal account
email address
Google Calendar
Insurance information
Anything else I missed?

Thanks everyone, and I apologize for the club confusion, especially regarding membership/stickers/cards/etc.

I currently share banking access with Ben.

Otherwise, I may have a url decal or two laying around somewhere, but I haven't looked for them in a few years.

I think my name is still on the original club documentation, too, but I doubt that would be of any use to you. Feel free to change it if you like.

I just faxed a takedown request for this account to Cafe Press' legal department based on our ownership of the artwork. If they do what they are supposed to, the zombie account will have nothing to sell.

While it's technically true that I could get access to the web site's pages, etc., I have been hands-off since the initial move to my servers a few years back. The club clearly has some very competent folks managing the site. I'm available to assist if needed, but I don't manage the site.

Does anyone know who has the club banners? How about the stickers and business cards?

There was a big box that I had some years ago, that I think got passed on to Justin, and he thinks he passed it to someone else along the way, but can't remember it's whereabouts since then. The decals were done by Darrell at Wheelbent Graphics, so he could probably pop out some more. However, if I fire up my old Mac, I may have high-res art files that I can send if you need them.

I observed the handover from Justin to MPH. I have no reason to think that any other transaction has occurred. Someone who wants the stuff just needs to arrange a pickup.

Just to follow up, We received a response back from Cafe Press saying that the old merchandise has been removed, an now it looks like only our stuff is showing up. I'm considering this complete.

Does anyone know what company we get our business cards/membership cards and stickers from?

If you're looking to do plastic instead of paper for the membership cards I'd suggest Duracard located in the Savage Mill complex right around the corner from Wayne. I know the owner and they do very good work, and do it quickly. They work in all thickness of plastic and I have them do stuff for the station every year with great results.

I've made business cards at Vistaprint. Easy and cheap, two things I appreciate.

The mail returned my Dues. It said "Chesapeake area roadsters box closed unable to forward return to sender". I will continue to watch the club announcements for instructions or see you at one of the meeting.

I've got a key if anyone wants to start checking, but I really think it's a good idea to do away with the PO Box and all club mail.

If the club is incorporated don't you have to maintain a legal mailing address? While a PO Box is a hassle it's better than using someone's home address.

While I appreciate the sentiment, and applaud all of those that have helped, we stopped charging dues because we were unable to consistently deliver what was advertised.
