Saw it fly by twice. Very, very cool. 8)

I used to live in Florida on Merritt Island which is right next to the space center. I would walk out into my back-yard and watch shuttle and rocket launches. You would see it go up, and then the sound would catch up about 30 seconds later, and rumble the whole area, scaring birds and shaking the doors on my house.

Really cool experience to live there while they were still flying. It is a shame that the space program is on the back burner.

Saw its final launch. Took the kiddies out of school to show them how to play hooky in style. Now we can go to DC to see it up close.
Many years ago I spoke engineer as if it was all that mattered. Now me better enlightened and well off to realize more with life than things like speling, body odor, lawn is mowed, cat is fed or not any more
