Anyone ever see this? ALMS special deal 8 issues for $40. It looks pretty interesting. I can't stand reading on computer screens, but a print version looks like it could be very nice.

Twice in the last year I've received unsolicited complimentary three-month subscriptions to Racer. But since my magazine time is really only limited to the dinner table, and Grassroots and SCCA's SportsCar get priority, I haven't actually cracked one of these Racers open yet. It certainly appears to be well-produced but I can't speak to the quality of the writing or subject matter yet. There is very little about today's racing, especially at the top-pro-level, that interests me these days (I'd much rather read about Toly Arutunoff and the BMW 320i than Marco Andretti and the Nissan GTR), so who knows when or if I'll actually get around to reading the half-dozen Racer magazines here.

I've started reading Egan online, sometimes months after publication. Still, it's Egan and it's free. Give that a thought.
