I'll be there...what time does it start?

I'll bring my "Mazda Tools" (10mm,14mm, 17mm) sockets, gear wrenches, etc. I have way too many tools, especially goofy ones (ie; female torx for a ford cam gear bolt).

Does anyone need anything else?

David, I see you need a water pump, I have two, if you need em, lemme know. I also have a oil pan, oil pick up, GTX Rods, and maybe some other little things. I'll bring stuff just in case.

One of these tech days, I want to do a rollbar install, I just dont want to cut my panels...I cant cut a straight line for anything...

If possible, I'd like to get in line for a brake bleed and hose/belt replacement (not timing belt).

I think my one coolant hose is leaking onto my exhaust header pipe.

What else do I need for the hose replacement other than the coolant hose kit and two grommets? Should I not worry about replacing any belts if I'm not getting any noise?

I've got four jackstands if anyone needs me to bring those.

Thanks!

The Harbor Freight hose pliers are nice to have to get at the back hoses, if David makes it, I'll have him bring mine (he has them now).

Great, thanks for the offer.

Should I plan on doing a radiator flush with this too? I really have no clue about changing the hoses, and am not sure if you lose much coolant when doing this.

Yes, you will lose most of your coolant, mainly when you remove the lower rad hose. Plan on putting fresh coolant and distilled water in. Do you know when it was changed last?

I would say sure, since I will be technically doing one also (with the timing belt change) Its easy to drain, change hoses (I can get you the entire hose kit if you need them) and then fill.

I will bring the pliers that Jason left me with, they are amazingly awesome tools, hoses are no longer evil!

Just be careful not to crush the pipes with the pliers.

No, I'm not sure when it was last changed.

What's wrong Christian? You don't like pulling the dash to replace the heater core?

I may have a roll bar - hard dog dual diagonal - by this time. Also if anyone's feeling masochistic my rear main seal is leaking and bleeding all over my driveway.

I'm having some difficulty finding exactly what I need in terms of hoses and belts. Is there a list somewhere of these items for dummies like me? I see at Finishline a heater hose kit, but I'm guessing this isn't everything. For belts, I guess there's the power steering/air conditioning and alternator belts.

Thanks!

So, just the radiator hose kit and heating hose kit covers all the hoses? I guess I still need those two grommets. How about the belts?

Thanks for offering to order, but I'll probably just do a separate order.

I'll be at the tech day. My roll bar finally showed up so I'll be putting it in. And I'll see what else time permits.

Not sure if I'll be able to make it there, but if I am, I'd be happy to help be a consultant for any roll bar installs. I'll still be in post-surgery mode, so the extent of my physical help will be sitting on my butt drinking beer. :yep:

I'll gladly help on the rollbar install. I can do the interior removal while you guys prep. I worked for Lo/Jack, so I can tear an interior down fast without breaking stuff!!

Plus, I've done two bars, and I'm about to do mine (got to order it in 2 weeks, then send it to a body shop to be sprayed 22V (Sunlight silver). Wouldn't hurt to freshen up the ole skills!

I *should* have my Bilsteins and TEIN springs by then...maybe we can do a shock install on "Destiny?" I'll have the assemblies ready to go, so it'll be a simple swap out...

Can you drive yet CL?

Do you need a ride to the tech day? I can pick u up, plus I could use some supervision on the timing belt.

You have a PM sir.

Nope, probably won't be cleared to drive until early May. If I can make it, I'll "supervise" the timing belt change. However, I'll warn you that I've done 11 roll bars (that I can think of), but not a single timing belt job. :yep:

I *just* did a T Belt on my 323 GTX (1.6, B6) I'll be glad to lend a hand.

David, if you have the short nose, did you get loctite, a new keyway, crank bolt and pulley? They are yearly "to do" items...

Longfellow IS Mr. Deeds though....so thats just plain confusing...

Well, I can still supervise the T-Belt...having a very fresh memory. Its only been like...3-4 weeks...

I used to have this tool that slid between the cam gears, itd lock em in place so you just loosen tensioner, remove belt, install belt, tighten tensioner and then remove tool. Took about 12 seconds to do a belt. I dont have any clue where it is, or where I got it...I think it was a BrainStorm peice...
